Adam Smith speaks to University of Huddersfield doctoral student Emma Levitt, who has found fresh ways of looking at a box of medieval manuscripts—and is already writing winning proposals to expand her research on them.
PhD candidate Emma Levitt has found herself more and more drawn to archives beyond the University of Huddersfield, where she is based. Most notably, she has discovered the treasure troves of the College of Arms in London, which document medieval jousting tournaments. She explains how she’s winning small but significant travel grants to help her reach these dusty corners.
