Rebecca Hill talks to Phil Sooben, the Economic and Social Research Council’s director of policy, resources and communication, about the ESRC's role in the What Works initiative to reduce poverty.

The council is providing the funding but the programme will be managed by the Public Policy Institute for Wales, which is funded by the Welsh government. Proposals are due by 24 April.
