The pursuit of impact influences the work that UK social scientists do, the methods they use and how they publish their results. Eloise Johnston talked to Susie Watts, deputy head of communications at the ESRC, and two winners of the council's 2015 Celebrating Impact Prizes to find out more about the scheme.
Since 2013, the Economic and Social Research Council has awarded six Celebrating Impact Prizes a year. The prize has six different categories: business, society, public policy, international, early career, and impact champion. A prize of £10,000 is awarded to the researchers who are recognised as outstanding in each category.
Entries for the 2016 round are open until 29 January 2016.
