Opportunity profile: EMBO seeks young, original thinkers

Every year, the European Molecular Biology Organization offers talented early-career researchers 20 or so Young Investigator awards, each worth about €15,000. Craig Nicholson asked Gerlind Wallon, deputy director and programme manager at EMBO, what the organisation expects from grantees.

EMBO’s Young Investigator programme is open to molecular-biology researchers with least two years’ postdoctoral experience who have been leading their own group for between one and four years. The next call opens in January with a deadline of 1 April 2016.
