Opportunity profile: ‘Chemistry is not just for people in lab coats’

The Royal Society of Chemistry is offering grants of up to £50,000 for projects that raise the profile chemistry plays in everyday life. Lindsay McKenzie spoke to Jonathan Wells, outreach executive at the society to find out more.

Three levels of grant funding are available for projects and events that help educate and entertain the public about chemistry, or help researchers to polish their communications skills. The society has an open call for small grants of up to £2,000, which closes on 29 January.
