InnoCentive: Science funding in the gig economy

InnoCentive is a website where organisations post problems and pay those who provide the best answers. Founder Alph Bingham gave Cristina Gallardo a crash course in InnoCentive lingo where “solvers” are connected to “seekers”.

The company, which was launched in 2000, is based in the United States, but also has European operations based in London. People based anywhere in the world can sign up to participate.
