The Crohn’s in Childhood Research Association is a focused but multidisciplinary funder

Top tips

  • The association considers projects from a wide range of disciplines as long as they are related to Crohn’s disease in children, so apply even if your project is not biomedical research.
  • Projects looking to better understand the cause of inflammatory bowel diseases are encouraged.
  • Begin securing ethics approval early so that your project start date is not delayed.

Crohn’s in Childhood Research Association (Cicra) is a small medical research charity supporting research into inflammatory bowel disease. It offers a variety of research grants with applications for three—the research fellowship, the project grant and the PhD studentship—closing on 1 November.
