Food security is once again a focus for the Agropolis Foundation's biennial funding scheme

Every two years the Agropolis Foundation, based in Montpellier, France, offers a series of grants to international researchers in sustainable agriculture at every career stage. In this round, the foundation’s prizes focus on agroecological transition and food security. The deadline is 11 January.

In 2016, Eleni Courea spoke to Oliver Oliveros, senior officer for international relations and partnerships at the foundation, to understand what Agropolis looks for in applications. While some particularities of the prizes may have changed and potential applicants should check the call specifications for the detail, Oliveros spoke mainly of considerations that are always important for Agropolis.
