Brand new medical research funders offering multimillion-dollar grants to early-to-mid-career researchers are about as rare as hen’s teeth. But Australia is home to just such a funder: the Snow Medical Research Foundation, which launched in 2019 and is offering grants of up to A$8 million over eight years through its flagship fellowship programme.
