Charity’s scheme for young clinician-researchers is open while Covid-19 has put research grants on pause

Top tips

  • Get in touch with the grants team before you apply—it’s keen to speak to every applicant.
  • You should be well supported by your host institution.
  • Don’t overstuff your application and always keep in mind just one thing you would like to achieve.
  • Avoid weighting your project so that everything that happens in its later stages is contingent on things going to plan earlier on.

Breast Cancer Now is among the many biomedical research charities that have had to restrict their offering since the Covid-19 pandemic began. The charity has had to pause its Project Grants due to the impact on its finances, but it has opened a clinical fellowship round.
