Opportunity profile: Accelerating the Parkinson’s pipeline

Cure Parkinson’s prepares a new call to move treatments forward

Established in 2005 by four Parkinson’s patients frustrated at the lack of progress on research for curative treatments, Cure Parkinson’s has kept its original focus on support for research with the potential to slow, stop or reverse the progression of Parkinson’s.

The charity already runs a quarterly Research Grants scheme for research that fits that remit (the next deadline is 10 January). Now it is readying to launch a supplementary and more specific scheme—the Pipeline Research Acceleration Programme. This will call for expressions of interest and subsequent applications for funding based on specified project outlines developed by Cure Parkinson’s.
