The Villum Foundation is one of six foundations built from the fortune of Villum Kann Rasmussen, the founder of the Velux windows company. It is one of the two Danish ‘Velux foundations’, the other being the Velux Foundation, which is not to be confused with the Swiss funder of research into ophthalmology, daylight research and healthy ageing, Velux Stiftung (profiled by Funding Insight in 2021).
