The second of two articles about taking on responsibilities as an early career academic

Last week, the passing of Saleemul Huq prompted us to interrupt the publication of this two-part series from Justine Firnhaber-Baker, professor of late medieval history at the University of St Andrews, on taking on extra responsibilities as an early career academic.

In this second article, first published in October 2021, Firnhaber-Baker turned her attention from PhD supervision to managing collaborations, concentrating on collaboration within arts and humanities. She presented four tips on successful collaboration, each of which promotes a structured, practical and realistic approach.
