Summary time, and the writing ain’t easy…

The summary is the most important part of your research grant application, argues Funding Insight columnist Adam Golberg.

All funding schemes include a summary section as an essential part of their application. On the UK research councils’ JeS form, for example, the instruction is to “describe the proposed research in simple terms in a way that could be publicised to a general audience”.
