Synthetic biology, regenerative medicine and agri-science all feature prominently in the Technology Strategy Board’s delivery plan for the financial year 2013-14, which was announced on 14 May.
These technologies were selected in January by science minister David Willetts as three of what he called “eight great technologies” for the UK to invest in. The TSB delivery plan also mentions two additional technologies: stratified medicine and in vitro diagnostics.
