The provider is seeking a judicial review over the higher education regulator's decision to refuse registration
The High Court has given the Bloomsbury Institute permission to take the Office for Students to judicial review after it became one of the first providers to be refused access to the OfS register.
The Bloomsbury Institute said it had been “bitterly disappointed” by the regulator’s decision to turn down its application to join the register, a ruling which was made public in July—meaning new students cannot access loans through the Student Loans Company. When it refused registration the OfS cited concerns over quality, management and governance at the Institute, as well as poor outcomes for graduates.
