Higher education regulator promises to work with Advertising Standards Agency on university breaches
Universities are facing a crackdown on their promises to prospective students after the Office for Students pledged to punish universities for making “misleading claims”.
In the regulator’s first annual review, published today 19 December, OfS chief executive Nicola Dandridge said universities’ advertising and inducements to join courses, the admissions system and course quality would all be put under the microscope in the coming year.
