OfS data show little change in university participation rates

Update to key performance indicators points to slow incremental improvements

The gap in the rate of participation in higher education between most and least represented groups has steadily fallen in recent years, but “remains large”, the Office for Students has said.

The latest participation performance measures, published by the OfS on 2 April, show there was a gap of 19.9 percentage points between the areas of England with the highest and lowest levels of participation in higher education.
