Barometer of student satisfaction goes ahead despite calls for cancellation
The Office for Students has confirmed that it plans to publish the results of the National Student Survey on 1 July—although it says the date is “subject to change in response to the current coronavirus pandemic”.
The OfS had been under pressure to suspend the NSS because of the Covid-19 fallout. In March, the National Union of Students said the survey would not present “a true picture of the student experience but a snapshot of a year of disrupted education”. Jo Grady, general secretary of the University and College Union, has also said the NSS “should be cancelled”.
