Barber will carry out a ‘critical review’ before leaving in March 2021
Michael Barber is to leave his role as chair of the Office for Students but will first lead a review of digital learning at universities.
In a letter to education secretary Gavin Williamson published on 24 June, Barber said it was “a privilege and honour” to work as chair of the OfS but that he would not seek a second term at the end of his four-year appointment in March next year.
