Stop using TEF awards for promotion, universities told

Office for Students asks universities to take references to TEF awards out of marketing materials

Universities have been told to stop using their Teaching Excellence Framework award to promote themselves, as an extension to existing awards means they will soon be out of date.

In a letter to universities on 10 June, the Office for Students’ director for fair access and participation Chris Millward asked universities to remove any mention of the Teaching Excellence Framework award from their marketing material from September 2021.
