Cambridge urged to up pace on fossil fuel divestment

The university has set out the next steps towards its 2020 divestment report

The University of Cambridge has come under increased pressure to take its money out of fossil fuel funds after it published an update on progress towards its latest divestment report, due in July 2020.

In the interim report, published for staff on 23 October and seen by Research Professional News, Cambridge researcher and report author Ellen Quigley said the final analysis would provide “fully costed estimates” of the pros and cons of divesting Cambridge’s £3.4 billion endowment fund, broken down into specific costs and fossil fuel types.
