University of Dundee confirms suspension of its vice-chancellor

The University of Dundee has suspended its principal and vice-chancellor, Andrew Atherton, just nine months after he took up the post.

Atherton, who was previously deputy vice-chancellor at Lancaster University, was suspended in September. He began his role in January, taking over from Pete Downes, who had spent 10 years as principal.
