Postgraduate workers outnumber those with no qualifications

Almost 11 per cent of population now has a masters or a doctorate, says ONS

There are now more workers in the UK with a masters or doctoral degree than those without any formal academic qualifications, the Office for National Statistics has said.

According to data published on 28 October, there are 4.5 million “economically active” postgraduate degree holders in the country, compared to 3.4 million people without any recognised qualifications.
