Sheffield Hallam defends Covid safety measures after union vote

UCU raises concerns over Covid risk but university is ‘confident’ its measures are ‘effective’

Sheffield Hallam University has defended its efforts to create a Covid-secure campus after the university’s branch of the University and College Union said it identified safety breaches.

The UCU’s Sheffield Hallam branch passed a vote of no confidence in the university’s senior leadership on 11 November, citing concerns over whether the campus was Covid-secure.
