Independent adjudicator sets out expectations for special consideration requests

The Office for the Independent Adjudicator has published guidance for universities on how to handle students’ requests for mitigating circumstances when considering appeals about academic performance.

The higher education ombudsbody set out its advice on how institutions should approach students’ requests for special circumstances in a chapter of its Good Practice Framework, published on 14 December.
