University of Sussex says lecturers can decide when face-to-face tuition is safe
The University of Sussex has said that lecturers who do not feel able to restart face-to-face teaching this academic year will be able to choose when they return to campus.
In a joint statement on its website, the university’s executive group (UEG) and its branch of the University and College Union said that while the aim was to “facilitate a greater proportion of in-person teaching”, the university would “actively ensure that no coercive measures are used to achieve this”.
