Updated guidance for governors highlights importance of diversity on boards

University governing bodies must ensure they have a “diversity of voice, attitude and experience”, according to a revised code of conduct.

The Committee of University Chairs (CUC) launched its updated Code of Governance on 16 September, which the organisation said would “support governing bodies [to] deliver the highest standards of governance” at their universities.
