Research-intensive group urges more help for universities during admissions process this year
Universities could need extra support from the government to help them through admissions this year if there is a substantial increase in grade inflation, the Russell Group has warned.
The group of research-intensive universities said it was seeking “urgent clarity on what the grade distribution” for A-level results is likely to be this summer, as a jump in grade inflation could lead to “pressures on capacity”.
