Public draws the line at free speech for Holocaust denial

Campus free speech supported—but under a third of those polled want Holocaust deniers admitted

While there is widespread public support to protect free speech at universities, the public largely does not want this to cover Holocaust denial, a survey has revealed.

The poll of 2,011 people in England, carried out by polling firm Public First between 4 and 7 February, revealed that 55 per cent of those surveyed said people should be allowed to speak openly at universities if their opinions are not illegal.
