LGBT+ staff who refuse to work abroad should face no negative consequences, report says
More research should be carried out into the experiences of LGBT+ higher education staff working abroad—particularly when UK universities are creating partnerships in countries with poor records on LGBT+ rights, the University and College Union has argued.
A report published by the UCU on 6 May suggested that the experiences of LGBT+ staff who worked abroad should be “examined in further research”, especially where there were “reports of negative and prejudicial experience”.
