Union sets out demand for governments ahead of term, DfE encourages students to get vaccinated
The University and College Union warned that the “chaos” seen last year as students were forced to self-isolate in halls could be repeated unless all students have been fully vaccinated.
In a letter to the UK education secretary Gavin Williamson, UCU general secretary Jo Grady said she was “deeply concerned” that the government’s decision to remove Covid-19 restrictions could see disruption of last year return, “putting the health of students and staff at risk and throwing the new academic year into chaos”.
