British students will be able to apply to European universities through the national admissions service.
The Universities and Colleges Admissions System has changed its rules to allow British students to apply to universities in Europe.
The admissions service reviewed its policy last year to allow universities from across the EU to apply to join the system, after it had previously opposed the inclusion of international members. So far, the Amsterdam Fashion Academy is the first European university to take advantage of the change. The private university, which charges annual fees of up to £11,500, became part of the system last month, but the move did not become public until today.
