Universities have pleaded for further reassures for EU students and staff.
The government must “take immediate action” to assure European Union students that they will pay home fees when starting a university course in 2018-19, Universities UK and the British Council have urged.
“Clear and unequivocal” assurances that all existing EU staff will be able to remain in the UK must be provided, they demanded in their submissions to the Commons education committee’s inquiry into the impact of exiting the EU on higher education, which were published on 8 December.
