Universities in the UK have started stockpiling essential supplies in preparation for a possible no-deal Brexit.
In a survey of 75 institutions by Universities UK, all universities acknowledged being prepared for leaving the European Union without a deal to some extent, with 52 per cent saying they were “fully or very” prepared and 48 per cent saying they were “slightly” prepared.
More than 9 out of 10 universities (93 per cent) said they had encouraged EU staff and students to secure pre-settled and settled status, while more than 80 per cent said they were either “very” or “extremely” concerned about the impact of a no-deal exit on their institution.
