Education secretary Gavin Williamson has confirmed that students from the European Union studying in Scotland will be able to complete their four-year degrees in the case of a no-deal Brexit.
According to The Scotsman newspaper, Williamson guaranteed on 16 September that Scottish universities would not be put at a disadvantage in the case of a no-deal Brexit.
The government had previously guaranteed EU students leave to remain for three years in the case of a no-deal Brexit, leading to calls for the period to be extended north of the border as Scottish degrees usually last for four years.
