Accommodation boss says progress on improving university halls may be scuppered by the election

Action on the late delivery of student accommodation could be set back because of the upcoming election, an industry expert has warned.

After a spate of unfinished housing projects forced students across the UK into temporary accommodation at the start of term, Conservative MP Chris Skidmore called a meeting with student accommodation firms and student and university representatives on 28 October to demand improvements.
