Little for universities in spending review as Augar response and TEF review fail to appear
The government’s long-awaited response to the Augar review into post-18 education has yet to appear, despite earlier promises that it would be released alongside today’s spending review announcement.
A response to the independent review of post-18 education, led by Philip Augar and published in May 2019, was due today. In July, life peer and government whip Stephen Parkinson said the government was “considering” the review and would respond “alongside the next spending review”.
