Bill confirms details set out by the universities minister earlier this month

Draft legislation on a proposed student numbers cap in England, which would limit how many students universities can recruit, has been published by the UK Government.

Details of the regulations designed to stop universities over-recruiting students next year show universities will be hit with financial penalties for breaking their student cap for next year, as confirmed by universities minister Michelle Donelan earlier this month.
