Shadow science minister leads calls for minister dedicated to combating equity in STEM education

A group of MPs led by shadow science minister Chi Onwurah have called for a new ministerial post to tackle inequality in England’s education system.

The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Diversity and Inclusion in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths, which Onwurah chairs, used their report on equity in STEM education to call for a new minister to address educational inequalities and scrutinise widening participation work in higher education.
