Diversity in subjects and markets required amid increased competition, says Department for Education
The UK “cannot be complacent” over its income from international education and must expand into new markets and offer more courses to keep foreign income flowing, the government has warned.
In an updated International Education Strategy, published on 6 February, the departments of education and international trade said “good progress” had been made towards meeting a goal of increasing income from ‘education exports’ from the £23 billion generated in 2018 to £35bn by 2030.
