A House of Lords committee becomes the sixth group of its kind to recommend international students be removed from migration statistics.
A committee established to examine the UK’s soft power says it was told in almost every one of its evidence sessions that existing UK visa policies are damaging Britain’s reputation.
The committee’s report notes a sharp decline in Indian student numbers as well as a fall in total foreign student numbers between 2011-12 and 2012-13.
