Higher education bodies highlight their election priorities
Election preparations have stepped up as the Higher Education Policy Institute, the Institute for Fiscal Studies, and the University and College Union all set out priorities for the next government.
The UCU used its election manifesto to call for the next government to “tackle the managerial culture on education” by scrapping the Teaching Excellence Framework and Research Excellence Framework, which assess universities’ performance.
