Today’s papers
Contradictions abound in today’s papers. The Daily Mail‘s front page splash claims that Donald Trump wants to revive the close transatlantic relationship between the US and the UK and has invoked the Reagan era. However the Daily Mirrror reports that Mr Trump didn’t call Theresa May until he had first spoken to the leaders of Ireland, Egypt, India, Mexico. Australia, South Korea, Japan, Turkey and Israel. So much for the special relationship, it concludes.
