Can universities chart a way out of local lockdowns?
Playbook is currently self-isolating, after Playbook Jr received a positive test for coronavirus. We have been lucky: Jr bounced through with a few days of mild symptoms.
We say this not to elicit sympathy but to pre-empt emails telling us that we are treating Covid-19 outbreaks in educational settings lightly. After 10 days of home quarantine, we have first-hand experience of some of the frustrations felt by university students and staff who are isolating.
