Mass coronavirus testing gets underway on campuses
The mass Covid-19 testing of students rolls out on campuses across the UK today, and however the next week pans out—not to mention the ‘student travel window’—universities are to be congratulated for the speed at which they have put processes and facilities in place.
Our correspondent Fiona McIntyre has been speaking to senior university leaders about how preparations have been going. Readers will not have missed the criticism and concern about the programme and we will come to that shortly. It is important, though, to hear how institutions have leapt into action in very difficult circumstances.
