The independent adjudicator consults on mass appeals, while Hepi hosts a roundtable on Covid-19

If you can take your eyes off the dumpster fire of the United States presidential election for just a moment, there is plenty going on in the world of UK higher education. This morning, the Office of the Independent Adjudicator for Higher Education publishes a consultation on the process for complaints from groups of students from the same institution.

Strictly speaking, this is not only related to the coronavirus pandemic. The OIA cites recent industrial action in universities and the closure of the Greenwich School of Management as examples of when groups of students have made representation to the ombudsbody with a shared grievance. These incidents have played their part in spurring the OIA to streamline its processes.
