Michelle Donelan addresses higher education
It is now 70 days since two people, one a student at the University of York, became the first in the UK to test positive for coronavirus. It is 40 days since the first Briton—a man who had been aboard the Diamond Princess cruise ship off the coast of Japan—died with the virus, and 34 days since the first death on UK soil.
