As laboratories prepare to reopen, the Office for Students publishes teaching grant data

Yesterday, Michelle Donelan and Amanda Solloway led the first meeting of the University Research Sustainability Taskforce as co-chairs. This initial session sought to draw up an agenda highlighting which problems could be addressed as quick wins and which were longer-term priorities.

The meeting came eight days after the group was called into existence as part of the government’s response to a request from Universities UK for a coronavirus bailout. The speed at which the group has assembled is a sign of its intent and the priority being given to the research effort.
