A journal article on diversity and the latest on student fees get the blood boiling
We begin this morning with the news that education secretary Gavin Williamson has finally clarified whether nursing students working in the NHS during the Covid-19 outbreak are liable for tuition fees. The answer, disappointingly, is yes. Fiona McIntyre has the details.
In a letter dated 2 June, Williamson told Robert Halfon, chair of the House of Commons education committee, that final-year students who had chosen to work on the NHS front line during the coronavirus would “continue to be required to pay fees for their final term”.
